There is no 5:30 or 6:30 class today. Stay out of trouble tonight! And have a happy New Year

Steve "Paleo" will be kicking off the Paleo Challenge on January 11th at 6:30 with a presentation of what the Paleo diet is and how to eat Paleo. If you are doing the challenge you need to be there . If not it wouldn't hurt to hear what he has to say.

Here are the dates for the baseline measurements for the Paleo Challenge. Everyone needs to make sure they get these tests done on these dates:

Blood work - Done by January 11th

Body comp. - Done by January 11th. We will do the tests before and after workouts

Strength/ CrossFit Total - January 4th, and 7th

Metcon - January 5th,6th,and 8th.

Blood tests can be ordered online at Blood Test at Home.com

Just 5 rounds + 10 + 1, but first time at 75# for push jerks in a WOD, and first time with 14# wall ball to the high target (ouch!). The jerks get easier as the workout goes on, but the box jumps and wall ball get harder.

Paleo Steve knows so much and is so supportive and inspirational about Paleo eating. Find a way to go to his talk!

We did a team workout since there were like 20 peeps in at noon - some pre-New Years pre-emptive workout?

AMRAP in 20

Run 100m
5 Thrusters - 95/65
10 Box Jumps - 24/20

Andy, Mike and I did 11 full rounds, plus Andy did 5 more thrusters.

Happy New Year!

Err...the Paleo diet? Never heard of it. Wanna give a brief summary for those of us not in the know?

Testimonials

  • Thank you for allowing me to train with you this summer. Being a football player at a Division 1 level I obviously want the best workout available to increase my performance. I have been doing conventional weightlifting for since I can remember and recently have not felt like it was increasing my performance as it should. Coming to Crossfit has been amazing. The high intensity workouts have made me more mentally tough, physically stronger, and able to endure more. Thank you for bringing me in, I believe in Crossfit all the way.

My daughter and I started Crossfit 1 month ago, I already feel an increased sense of strength. I've always been physically active, growing up as a competitive gymnast and lately an avid runner. Tim's ability to push me through the mental and physical boundaries of each and every Crossfit class is incredible. I have also been participating in the Kettlebell program and Tim has made it constantly challenging, exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. I love the fact that he is always on the lookout for proper form and is quick to correct you if need be. He continues to push us to work hard, use good form, and never forgetting to tell us that we are doing a good job. Thanks for the motivation, support and the extremely challenging workouts.
