THE 2010 CROSSFIT GAMES

2009 was an action packed year of events and competitions. I was more then impressed with the turn out and performances of our athletes that competed this year. We saw some really good efforts as these guys pushed themselves to the brink. The year is not even over and it is time to start gearing up for next year. Dates for the CrossFit games have been announced as well as the new format for getting there.

Last year Front Range CrossFit hosted the Rocky Mountain Region CrossFit Games. This was the qualifier for CrossFit Games. It looks like they will do so again this year in May.. New this year are Sectionals. There are 30 spots for men and 30 spots for women up for grabs to get to Regionals. Sectionals will take place on March 20th and 21st. The location is at the State police HQ in Golden. Any one can compete at Sectionals. Even if you have no plans to go further then Sectionals these competitions are a lot of fun so step up your training. Everyone interested in competing let me know and we will have a sign-up on the board.

They have also changed the requirements for the Affiliate Cup. We were one of 100 teams that competed at the Games. This year at Regionals there will be an Affiliate Cup Qualifier. I will be choosing the Affiliate Cup team based on a number of criteria. If you would like to be on the team please let me know.

If anyone is looking for a quick summer getaway the Games in Aromas are a ton of fun. This year they will be held July 16th - 18th. I hope to see you there as an individual competitor, on the Affiliate Cup Team or just there to cheer on the team.

Let's DO IT!!!!! There is nothing like these competitions to bring out effort/intensity beyond what you thought was possible.

Anyone else find it odd that a supplement firm is a sponsor for the CF Games ? I dont think cave man found Pro&&e&& lying around. Unless there were hopped up dinos in those days.. Seems to go against the grain.

Disclosure we have Xerox copiers, but I dont see it as being relevant.

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR OUR TROOPS

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to one of our soldiers serving around the world. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

And after checking the Whiteboard, we last did that WOD in August. I went up 20# in the DL, and shaved off 2:15 on my time. Something's working! As RX'd is next!

Testimonials

  • Thank you for allowing me to train with you this summer. Being a football player at a Division 1 level I obviously want the best workout available to increase my performance. I have been doing conventional weightlifting for since I can remember and recently have not felt like it was increasing my performance as it should. Coming to Crossfit has been amazing. The high intensity workouts have made me more mentally tough, physically stronger, and able to endure more. Thank you for bringing me in, I believe in Crossfit all the way.

My daughter and I started Crossfit 1 month ago, I already feel an increased sense of strength. I've always been physically active, growing up as a competitive gymnast and lately an avid runner. Tim's ability to push me through the mental and physical boundaries of each and every Crossfit class is incredible. I have also been participating in the Kettlebell program and Tim has made it constantly challenging, exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. I love the fact that he is always on the lookout for proper form and is quick to correct you if need be. He continues to push us to work hard, use good form, and never forgetting to tell us that we are doing a good job. Thanks for the motivation, support and the extremely challenging workouts.
