2008 Olympian Carissa Gump

The weightlifting clinic on Saturday was awesome. They really enjoyed working with everyone and are now going to be having weightlifting classes in conjunction with Keith's class, Monday thru Friday at 6:30. They will be coaching FCF athletes as well as their own with some of this countries top lifters from the OTC stopping by to train Like Carissa Gump. Carissa was here last Wednesday doing a little lifting. This is a great opportunity to learn from and train with some of the best lifters and coaches in the sport.

First day of doing the WOD in my gym at Santa Clara. I'm not quite up to 275 on the dead lift so I set it at 205. I got 6:56 as my time and got a lot of stares from people who were using the weight machines. I'm looking forward to continuing to do Crossfit on Campus here and may try to get a club going

7:06 with 145# DL. Mike and I went to San Francisco for the long weekend, and we had to work off all the foie gras and heavy cream from an indulgent dinner, so we dropped in to Lalanne Fitness for a Saturday WOD. It was running Fran: 21-15-9 thrusters and pull-ups interleaved with 1600, 800, and 400 m run. Tough, but running at sea level is kind of nice!

WOD: 185# 4:47 (I think)

Vincent! Yea for you! Great job, you can get a bunch of people interested I'm sure! Keep up the good work! And keep posting!

Amy, I forgot to ask you about your San Fran CrossFit experience, it sounds like it was horrible.

Rx'd 3:46 and was having the crossfit cough all night! That was a nasty wod....Thanks to Pinky and the Brain for cheering me on.

165# DL about 5 1/2 min. I'll double check the board...I'll try to do more wt next time...
Vincent, that's so great! glad you're still checking in with us...nice job on the WOD. Can't imagine doing that in a regular gym!!

Testimonials

  • Thank you for allowing me to train with you this summer. Being a football player at a Division 1 level I obviously want the best workout available to increase my performance. I have been doing conventional weightlifting for since I can remember and recently have not felt like it was increasing my performance as it should. Coming to Crossfit has been amazing. The high intensity workouts have made me more mentally tough, physically stronger, and able to endure more. Thank you for bringing me in, I believe in Crossfit all the way.

My daughter and I started Crossfit 1 month ago, I already feel an increased sense of strength. I've always been physically active, growing up as a competitive gymnast and lately an avid runner. Tim's ability to push me through the mental and physical boundaries of each and every Crossfit class is incredible. I have also been participating in the Kettlebell program and Tim has made it constantly challenging, exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. I love the fact that he is always on the lookout for proper form and is quick to correct you if need be. He continues to push us to work hard, use good form, and never forgetting to tell us that we are doing a good job. Thanks for the motivation, support and the extremely challenging workouts.
