The Colorado games are coming up on September 12th. This Saturday we are going to do a practice workout to help our athletes get ready for competing at the games. We need everyone to come out and help get these guys ready.

The Olympic lifting program is going to get going again on September 1st. Keith is going to be doing classes at 6:30. We also have two new coaches that will be helping out with clinics an private coaching. David Miller is an USAW International coach and Randy Hauer is a USAW Senior coach. All these guys are exceptional lifters and coaches. If you haven't seen it on he board yet there is a team Olympic lifting competition at Front Range CrossFit November 14th. There will be CrossFit Affiliate teams from all over the country their competing so lets get to lifting and show up and show the CrossFit community that we have some of the best lifters in the community.

Lert
The Lake Eldora Racing Team will be training at Flatirons CrossFit for the next 10 weeks. We are really excited about working with these kids and helping them prepare for the upcoming ski season.  This is a talented group of athletes that I'm sure will be tearing it up on the slopes come November.

So.... In case you hadn't noticed the website has changed. We thought it was time for a new look and a little more color. The site is still under a little construction so to speak, but in the next weeks you can expect to see a lot of changes to both the site and the gym. You may have seen some new faces around the gym lately. A lot of new people have joined Flatirons CrossFit and we have added 5 more trainers to our staff. Some are directly from Flatirons CrossFit and a couple are from USAW and come with exceptional credentials. You can expect to see details and more info on these new members of our staff and upcoming events in the next few weeks.

The author of this great piece of journalism has lumped CrossFit in with hula hooping and Strip aerobics as a fad. Flash-in-the-pan fads fade out fast

The Colorado kettlebell Series got off to a great start yesterday with 21 athletes competing. The next event will be in October at MBS CrossFit. We are going to determine the over all winners based on the best two efforts so everyone can still get in on the Series. See you in October. Results will be posted tomorrow.

Testimonials

  • Thank you for allowing me to train with you this summer. Being a football player at a Division 1 level I obviously want the best workout available to increase my performance. I have been doing conventional weightlifting for since I can remember and recently have not felt like it was increasing my performance as it should. Coming to Crossfit has been amazing. The high intensity workouts have made me more mentally tough, physically stronger, and able to endure more. Thank you for bringing me in, I believe in Crossfit all the way.

My daughter and I started Crossfit 1 month ago, I already feel an increased sense of strength. I've always been physically active, growing up as a competitive gymnast and lately an avid runner. Tim's ability to push me through the mental and physical boundaries of each and every Crossfit class is incredible. I have also been participating in the Kettlebell program and Tim has made it constantly challenging, exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. I love the fact that he is always on the lookout for proper form and is quick to correct you if need be. He continues to push us to work hard, use good form, and never forgetting to tell us that we are doing a good job. Thanks for the motivation, support and the extremely challenging workouts.
